lovely hotel, in excellant position for Botanic Gardens and nice fresh walk to the Christmas Markets. The room although small was just perfect, best night sleep I have had in a hotel. Sheree was so helpful and lovely - it made our time in Edinburgh that bit more special. Will definately return here when next visiting Edinburgh, Thanks you.

Nice Stay with Scottish Charme -
Very kind and helpful people are working at the Reception and are also fun. The rooms themselves are clean and tidy and checked every day. Mine was very spacious, nearly royal the interior ;) the bathroom is quiet small. As it is just about the distance from the city center and the Royal Botanical gardens, one can go to both easily walking. Only backside, it's a bit loud at night due to the traffic. However, with a kind breakfast served, every day starts in a nice way.

Lovely rooms, excellent service -
A walk to Princes way only takes about 20mins, though it is uphill but a cheap taxi or bus is an easy workaround. The hotel itself is very well presented and affordable for where it is. Double room was a good size and great to stay in. Real highlight was the staff, the receptionist working was lovely and is great for a chat about what to see. Would definitely return to.

The location was perfect for me, as I was attending meetings at the Botanic Gardens and wanted easy access to the city sights. I had the single room.It was tiny but very nice. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, the food was good, and I would definitely stay there again if I am fortunate enough to return to Edinburgh.

Fantastic little Hotel -
Lovely little hotel in a quiet area of Edinburgh. The Hotel receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The Bedroom and bathroom was gorgeous. The Bed was so comfortable I had the best night sleep for a long time. Managed to find parking opposite which is free from 5:30pm to 8:30am the following morning so fine. For business travelers, 8am breakfast might not be early enough.Overall I really enjoyed the Hotel and the little bar and would recommend it.

Perfect Hotel Stay -
Beautiful, small hotel in a quiet neighborhood just a block from the Royal Botanic Gardens. Sherie, the manager is outstanding -- she helped us connect to UK internet, provided excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants and was eager to hear about our day whenever we came in. We were most impressed that the hotel staff did not use chemical fragrances to clean rooms, towels or bedding -- quite unique and so welcome.

If I had to be critical, I would have to say the room we were allocated (No. 1) was rather small. Whether this is the same for all rooms, I'm not sure, but would hazard a guess that larger rooms are available. It is an old Victorian building, so I guess this is something you have to expect. As I've found in many hotels, the sealant around the shower could do with a refresh. Other than that, the room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The staff were great. Both Carolina and Sheree could not have been more helpful and accommodating;two very different but lovely people. I even managed to practice my rather poor but improving Spanish with Carolina!!Breakfast is freshly cooked and of good quality. The hotel is well within walking distance to Princes Street for most (just over a mile) although it is up a sready incline for most of the way in to the centre. That said, the walk home is easy!! For those who are not so keen on walking, there is a frequent bus service into town (23 and 27) only a two or three minute walk to the bus stop from the hotel. The current single fare is £1.70 but you can purchase a Day Ticket for £4.00 if you intend to travel more than twice in the same day.An added bonus of a stay at the Inverleith is the close proximity of the Royal Botanic Gardens which are again only two or three minutes away and well worth a visit even for the non-green fingered like me.All in all, very good value for money. I would be more than happy to return.

Nice terraced property in a good location close to the Royal Botanical gardens and just 20 minutes walk from Rose Street ans 30 minutes walk to visit the Royal Yacht Britannia. If walking isn't for you there is a good bus network close by.Clean nicely decorated hotel that provides a good breakfast with good choice for both hot food and thecontinenal option. We were asked what time we wanted breakfast which maynot suit everyone.I enjoyed the breakfast but nay not be the portion size if you have a big appetite first thing. Extra toast requested resulted in just one slice.Overall worth a stay.

the hotel offers a cosy atmosphere, lounge, dining room, and rooms upstairs, it is located close to the botanic garden, in a quiet area in the new town. The staff is welcoming and available to offer advices. Good point if you arrive by car, is easier to park in this area, than in the old town, where streets are narrow and traffic more complicated

Friendly hotel, full of character with perfect location for the Botanic gardens -
We have stayed at the Inverleith Hotel a few times and have found it to be a consistently good place to be whilst in Edinburgh. The hotel is charming and the staff are very helpful. Our room had spectacular views at the top of the hotel. The hotel is very close to the beautiful Botanic Gardens. The only things that could be a problem with our room is that there are quite a few stairs to climb and no lift. The bath, whilst attractive as it is free standing, would be difficult to get into if one had mobility problems. However the shower was very good and the bed extremely comfortable.

The bedroom was large and very comfortable. The ensuite was tiny, however, that was a small price to pay on a short visit. The receptionist was extremely helpful and welcoming. We stayed to be near the crematorium and had discussions around walking there or taking a taxi as parking might be difficult. We took a taxi and were glad we did as it is not a short walk. We could also have parked at the crematorium as their car park is huge.

best hotel in Edinburgh-
The first thing to say is the service in this hotel is absolutely outstanding, such a positive and friendly atmosphere, feel happier here than at my own home! The manager Cherry is an absolute diamond and will go out of her way to accommodate anything you need, and is one of the most approachable and genuine people I have ever met - me (23) and my grandmother (69) spent the evenings watching TV, chatting with Cherry and other hotel guests and drinking wine. My grandmother absolutely adores her and the hotel and it is rare to say that a hotel can accommodate so many requirements and tastes for all people. I could write about the service of this hotel for hours and would completely protest any bad reviews on this hotel. The rooms are absolutely stunning, I could not fault one thing about them apart from maybe have conditioner for your hair! The breakfast was absolutely stunning, and the quality of food was amazing. Overall I would rate this hotel a solid 100/10, I could not ask for anything more and that is speaking volumes!! If you are looking for a classy place to say, with beautiful interior/exterior, a professional but very laid back and friendly service and a peaceful rest, then this is the place for you. Location is brilliant and the Italian restaurant 2 minutes away gave me the best meal I’ve had in many years. Restaurants, shops, service and the city about a 20 minute walk - I would now, never stay anywhere in Edinburgh apart from this hotel and would like to thank Cherry whole heartedly for making my few days here such a lovely lovely experience, what a treasure.

Had a lovely stay, excellent staff, great location -
I had a cozy clean single room. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is great (is near a bus stop that goes to the City Centre, near the Botanic gardens and near a hop-on and hop-off bus stop). I will certainly be staying here again the next time I visit!

Cosy, quiet stay -
I had a lovely stay at the Inverleith, it's in a great location, short walk to the city centre and stockbridge, right next to the botanical gardens. My room was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfy, the shower was good and I had a great night's sleep, it was very quiet. Would definitely recommend, thanks!

Another excellent stay -
Both my partner and I love staying here, it is our home away from home. We try and stay at least once a month and for no reason other than how good it is as we only stay 10 miles away. The service is excellent and the young guy that has checked us in the last few times has been fantastic.
Thank you for your kind review we always like to see you returning from time to time. We appreciate our repeat customers.

Pleasant and Comfortable stay -
The staff was most friendly and helpful. We chose one of the smaller rooms but it was efficient enough for us to stay for 5 nights. We liked the location because we could walk downtown ortake the bus.Access to the Botanical Garden was a bonus. We would gladly chose The Inverleith Hotel again.
Thank you for your kind review we are please you enjoyed your stay - our smaller rooms do have all the usual facilities, and as such most of our guests find this a good economic option. We are pleased you would choose to return to us.

Fantastic customer service and brilliant nights sleep -
We stayed here for one night, prior to a funeral nearby at Warriston Crematorium. The staff were so friendly, accomodating, and really brought a smile to our faces. The room was beautiful, the Castle View suite, and it was great value for money.
